Meet Kim!
CPA, Consultant & Advisory Specialist & Co-Founder
Kim is not your typical accountant - she does not just “count the beans.” Kim has owned and operated several types of successful businesses, as well as worked in both public and private accounting. This extensive experience provides a unique perspective to best understand and help entrepreneurs succeed. Kim’s experience includes business advisory and development work to help grow clients’ businesses. She helps the businessperson work on their business to improve profits and cash flow, leaving the accounting details to Keen Bean Bookkeepers.
Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in accounting. She passed the CPA exam on the first sitting, which is an extraordinary accomplishment for this challenging professional designation. Kim is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. These skills, combined with Kim’s positive, caring, and passionate attitude add up to a winning combination for her clients. She is confident and professional, but humble. Kim’s strong work ethic and integrity are beyond reproach.
Kim is a mom to grown daughters and enjoys her 5 grandchildren. She loves traveling, hiking, and camping with her husband, Rock, skiing, crafting, and sewing.

Chief Financial and Operational Officer & Co-Founder
Kristie began her career in the family CPA firm at a young age, where she gained expertise in bookkeeping and beyond. Raised in a family of entrepreneurs, she was inspired to launch and manage her own businesses early on. Over the years, Kristie has successfully operated several small businesses, gaining invaluable experience that enables her to provide exceptional support to her clients.
Kristie holds a bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management and Culinary Arts, and her passion for cooking remains a cherished interest. Her husband served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, a commitment that involved frequent deployments and multiple relocations. During this time, Kristie balanced the responsibilities of raising two children, including homeschooling, while managing the household and her businesses. Additionally, Kristie has earned the demanding designation of QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Known for her fun and passionate approach to her work, Kristie is highly organized, efficient, and dedicated to delivering excellent service to her clients. She upholds the utmost standards of confidentiality and ethical behavior, values that were instilled in her by her family. This diverse and well-rounded skill set has made Kristie a trusted and preferred advisor for her clients.
Currently residing in Spain with her husband, Matt, and their two children, Kristie enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, and cooking in her free time.
Meet Scott!
Certified Public Accountant & Entepreneur
.Scott Cline is a seasoned CPA and entrepreneur with a diverse background in finance, operations, and multi-unit business development. A graduate of NC State University, Scott began his career with Cherry, Beckert & Holland in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he provided audit and advisory services to a broad client base. He later became a divisional controller for Ferguson Enterprises, a Fortune 500 company, where he led financial operations and strategic planning initiatives.
With over two decades in resort sales, Scott developed a deep understanding of hospitality, customer experience, and high-impact team building. His entrepreneurial ventures include owning and operating multiple child care centers across North Carolina and building several South BeachTanning franchise locations in the Charlotte market.
Today, Scott is pleased to bring his talents to the Keen Bean Bookkeeping team, where he applies his financial expertise and business insight to help clients succeed with confidence and clarity.

Financial Analyst & Payroll Specialist
.Sarah brings over 10 years of financial management experience to the team, with a people-first approach that puts clients at ease. Her career has taken her across the globe—from Japan and Greece to Spain—supporting U.S. Navy operations with expert guidance in budgeting, travel, and property oversight. No matter the task, Sarah is known for her attention to detail, her warm professionalism, and her knack for simplifying even the most complex financial processes.
She holds a Master’s in International Business and a Bachelor’s in Business Management, but it’s her time spent one-on-one with clients—both professionally and through more than 1,500 hours of volunteer financial counseling—that truly reflects her passion: helping people feel confident and in control of their financial lives.
As the spouse of an active duty service member, Sarah understands the challenges of frequent moves, ever-changing routines, and the importance of adaptability. Her transient lifestyle has shaped her into a flexible, empathetic advisor who meets clients wherever they are—both geographically and financially.
Originally from upstate New York, Sarah has a heart for service, a love of travel, and a deep appreciation for strong coffee and stronger spreadsheets. When she’s not organizing numbers or guiding clients, you’ll likely find her sharing good food with friends and family, exploring local offerings, or planning her next overseas adventure.

Operations & Client Support Specialist
Shannon Connell brings a unique blend of leadership, operational expertise, and financial coordination to Keen Bean Bookkeepers. With more than 20 years of experience in retail and hospitality management, she has built her career around efficiency, service, and strong team leadership—making her a natural fit for supporting both clients and internal operations.
Shannon’s background includes roles in general management, event coordination, and entrepreneurship, having successfully launched and grown her own event planning business. This firsthand experience gives her valuable insight into the challenges small business owners face and informs her thoughtful, hands-on approach to client support.
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband Billy, their daughter Brooklyn, and their energetic German Shepherd, Libby. A lifelong foodie and lover of all things creative, she’s happiest when cooking, relaxing at their family camp, or finding balance through fitness and outdoor activities. Known for her strong work ethic and positive spirit, Shannon is passionate about helping others succeed—and brings that dedication to every client interaction.
